Instant mud trial place for your garden - just add 10 gallons of water. I took some pics for you. Hope they work...

Sweet pics. Love someone who doesnt baby their truck. Use them and abuse them. I moved the topic for you as you requested also. So what part of the world do you reside with that Jero?

Thank for moving this thread. :chug:

Thanks for your comments also. Mud was really sticky, I'm using Truck Puller and still there should have been even more torque. Maybe fresh battery pack could also do the trick, this one was almost ten ten years old 1700mah pack. I'm not sure if I'll even try to clean that 'cause tomorrow it will get the same mud bath again but with bigger area to run. Would be great to have sauna to get truck dry - the only thing i'm little bit worried is ball bearing getting rusty. Gearings didn't make any nasty sounds so I assume that those are still ok. Anyway those are quite cheap to buy. Best thing is that you don't have to buy best batteries available to get decent running time. Oh yes, I'm from finland.

cool pics!! very muddy indeed! :chug:

thats a proper XC playground by the look of it....

your bearings will be ok for a while but if you do this often you will need to re-grease them, if you are in any doubt wipe away the mud for areas where the bearings could be exposed to it(like the ones on the steering knuckle or driveshaft outputs) abnd spray in some WD40 or similar to flush out the moisture and lubricate the bearing....

AHHH WD40 the next best thing to duct tape and sheet metal screws.
Professor Spoon does make a good point. When ever you run in that much mud and water, a little spray of WD40 will do wonders for bearing life. Far as gearing, unless you totally submerge the truck the top case holds out junk pretty good, but at the transfer case you can run a small bead of RTV silicone around it to keep out the dirt and junk.

Edit: Also where do you have your upper shock location at? Hard to tell in the pics.

Love the mud pics, but your not getting dirty enough!!!!!!!!!! LOL
how much are the lrp truckpuller motors?
and how much do you think it would cost to send one to the US?
thanks,
Kevin

Actually TP's are not available in Finland, mine was already in Pajero when I bought it (used). I think that those are still quite cheap and Tower should sell them?

Thanks for advice 'bout ball bearings. Shock locations are standard, only lower end has been attached to axle cover because I have made aluminium lower links...upper head is totally standard. I'm not looking for maximum articulation, I like more when it's closer to scale.

I haven't even cut those tires to get more traction, but it will be done in future. How 'bout those lead rings? I have sent e-mail to that that gyu in Germany who makes those but he has not answered yet - those would be quite interesting to get, maybe not so usefull when driving in mud but when crawling those could be usefull.

Couple of a new shots. Truck isn't stucked in either pic, it managed to drive away without help.

Maybe a little bit more dirty than it was yesterday? It rolled over while climbing. I'm not brave enough to take a look to inside.

I'll try to get some vid also.

AFAIK LRP motors are not available on tower, and the truck puller certainly isnt.

I can get them in the UK, but sadly as they are around £30 (mid price for a mod motor in UK), this works out to around $60-65 shipped to the USA cuz of the exchange rate(shipping cost is very low as its only 4oz).

this is fine if u have the cash but when a multiplex permax 600 is $9 and a mag mayhem is $18.99 a pop it suddenly seeems extortionate....

if anyone wants this motor I dont mind ordering it and shipping it out provided I get paid in advance, but I've only had one guy take me up on this so far due to the price....theres nowt I can do cuz at that price its literally covering the cost of buying and posting it on, I dont make a penny....

Yes, Spoonmaster is right. LRP TP's seems to be available mostly in europe. I just bought 2 of those (slightly used) for 40€ with posting. I think that was quite good deal, what you think? I'm planning to use those in my Clod project, could that be too slow? I have also one Mag Mayhem in my Bush Devil, there is quite big difference between Truck Puller and Mag Mayhem I think? Mag Mayhem has plenty of power for crawling, but it's pretty much faster than TP...of course the is difference also in running times. It would be nice to try that MM in Pajero too, but at the moment I don't have right Esc for that (I'm using some very small HPI Micro's speed controller - sold my Novak SR to Aatu some time ago...bad move). How is Pajero with Mag Mayhem, does anyone have that combination in use?

Spoon37

well the big difference between the truck puller and the mag mayhem is RPM's the mags hit 22,000rpm or so without too much trouble at 7.2v, the truck puller is designed to reach 6500rpm at 7.2v so it should be very slow and torquey where the mags will be much faster but still with better torque than most mod motors....

I dunno exactly how they compare in a jero as my jeros only run silver cans and I havent yet bought a truck puller for myself....

40 euros sounds like a good deal on 2 tho.... :chug:

I can't add anything new??? awesome shots man! I have a truck puller in my Pajero and have just ordered a Matric 55 turn lathe motor so it will interesting to see how it stacks up with the LRP truck puller. I will let you guys know my findings.
