I won't name names. I really don't have any right to say anything because I didn't create that .GIF in the first place - I could say more, but I won't. If I had made it to begin with, then there'd be blood! I will say that it took a lot of time to find that avatar, searching on some obscure pro-audio/music forums. A little shocking to see someone else sporting it all of a sudden.

Despite my little bit of vitriol, don't anyone give the guy a hard time. <phech!> I'll get over it. <_<

Yeah, me new one is ol' Flame of Udun himself, Balrog. Gotta be one of the best monster designs in cinematic history. (Or so I think :) )

Nevermind - it's working now. It kept displaying the old one (w/o my user nick). Put my name on it in the spirit of licking the last piece of pizza in the fridge so no one will eat it.

UPDATE: The user that took my old avatar actually linked to the image that I uploaded to Invision. He didn't upload his own. Therefore, his new av is the same as mine. The pathname of the file consists of "/av-88.gif". The "88" refers to my user number - I'm member number 88. For someone whose member # 150, their pathname would theoretically be "av-150.gif" - or jpg, png, etc.

I suspect it was more of a case of not knowing how to get an avatar up. What's funny to me is that everytime I change my avatar, his will too. Wonder if he's noticed it yet? I'll be the first guy to help him out though.

BTW, here's the one that I was considering being hijacked. Kind of a nifty animated gif I found while lurking in some pro-audio forum (so technically I jacked it, too):
