I have tracked down some more photos Mike had of the MX5 during the build-up. These were originally posted in the Painting and Detailing section on the RCCA forums. I'm copying them to image shack so I'm not stealing bandwidth, it'll take a mo...

Whoah!!! I didn't even know this place existed, let alone the amount of details you guys (and gals) put into your trucks! Sorry but I don't have anything appropriate (truck wise) to post at the moment but I hope you folks won't mind if I hang around with you.:) BTW..I've been looking around for just a few minutes and I've seen some pretty mad scratchbuilding skills....geez...tube frames!!! Yowza!!!!

RCCA ???
"Radio Controlled Car Action" Magazine its a US publication, but if your lucky you can get it in the UK in larger W.H.Smiths stores, I buy it occasionally its better than most UK based mags who seem to follow the thinking that if it doesnt Race, then there's no point.... only thing with RCCA, its more than 1/2 advertisments, and the articles are notorious for playing up to the manufacturers - i.e. they dont like saying the latest kyosho truck is rubbish if Kyosho have just paid for 5 pages of adverts....
Welcome Mike! you are welcome to stay - as you can see we have forums to cover most areas of RC vehicles... so if you want to post stuff about any of your projects you should be able to find the appropriate forum :nice:
I would be interested to see what you could come up with for scale details on a truck, especially given what you've achieved with the MX5 and mini so far... :chug:

Welcome to the board Mike. Your awesome scale scratchbuilding abilities will be a major contribution I'm sure. We admire all scale R/C's so if you have any other wonderful works of art to share feel free to post them here!

Hello again!
First of all, I seem to be forgetting my manners! Seems easy to do when I'm trying to absorb all of the really great craftsmanship that you creative and skilled folks have on display on numerous threads!!! Wow! You're all just as insane as I am!! I am truly honored to hang with you and I thank you for the warm welcome. I am unfortunately "truckless" at this point so I am somewhat limited in what I can contribute but I'll be happy to share what little I know in scratchbuilding plastic details. Looks like I have quite a bit of reading to do on this forum!!!! Again, I am so pleased and honored to hang with all of you. :excited: :excited:
