Cameron Sexes Up Avatar For Re-Release

JAMES CAMERON has sexed up his epic blockbuster AVATAR to lure cinemagoers back to theatres.

The director's record-breaking film will return to 3D theatres worldwide on Friday (27Aug10) for a limited-run, as Avatar: Special Edition.

And he's sprinkled an extra nine minutes of footage throughout the computer-generated blockbuster, including a new sex scene between Sam Worthington's character Jake Sully, and his Na'vi lover Neytiri, played by actress Zoe Saldana.

New shots of a schoolhouse run by Sigourney Weaver’s character Dr. Grace Augustine and the death of Na’vi clansman Tsu’tey will also be featured.

But Cameron isn't finished adding extra features to keep fans hooked - he will add another seven minutes of footage to a special-edition DVD scheduled for release in November (10).

He tells the New York Post, “It’s for those that don’t mind a movie that’s pushed to 257 minutes... it’s strictly for hyperfans.”

Avatar has earned $2.7 billion in box office revenue worldwide since its release last December (09), and has become the most successful film ever released.

I can't wait to hear this movie review.

Thanks for fixing my mistake Harry!

So last night I watched Cash, it has Sean Bean( Boromir) and Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek, and soon to Be Thor). Pretty decent movie. Sean Bean plays an excellent bad guy, as he did in one of the BOnd films. Has some good suspense and some great moments where they show the Hostage/capture relationship develope to empathy. I'd give 3.5 out of five stars.

> A gynecologist had become fed up with malpractice insurance and HMO paperwork, and
>was burned out. Hoping to try another career where skillful hands would be
>beneficial, he decided to become a mechanic. He went to the local technical
>college, signed up for evening classes, attended diligently, and learned all he

> When the time of the practical exam approached, the gynecologist prepared carefully for

> Fearing an error, he called the Instructor, saying, "I don't want to appear ungrateful for
>such an outstanding result, but I wonder if there is an error in the grade?"
>
> "The instructor said, "During the exam, you took the engine apart perfectly, which was

After a pause, the instructor added, "I gave you an extra 50% because you did it

What if I drill some extra holes in my body to elevate that excess pressure?

jake10684
08-25-2010, 09:36 AM
That usually works.

Also, for some reason, anytime I'm at the doctor's office to have it checked, mine is always high.

I wonder if it could have something to do with the fact that I had to sit in a waiting room for an hour and a half, listening to screaming children and half a room of sick people coughing and sneezing their germs all over the place, had to fill out a pile of paperwork, and know in the back of my head this is about to hit me in the wallet...

Nah, couldn't be that. It must be all the salt I eat or something.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I think I was getting anxious waiting to ride bikes in class and having to sit in front of a group of women getting my pressure read. I'm a pretty anxious person so I'm sure my junk spiked at that moment. I don't drink alcohol, smoke or even drink caffeine. Things have been busy here too, and should stay fairly steady at the current level for awhile. Very good news to me considering there were system-wide layoffs a couple of months ago with 3 people in my department being let go. R&D departments can't survive when there's nothing to R&D.

I actually posted this earlier in the thread. :p There's no way for anyone to build an Eigenharp without a PhD in electrical engineering, about five million dollars with of equipment, and twelve years of R&D. Put it into perspective it makes the $6,000 that the Alpha costs almost palatable. They also make two other models - the Tau and the Pico. The Tau is similar in size to the Alpha but forgoes the nice wood exterior for an extruded aluminum chassis, 4 rows of keys instead of five, doesn't have the radiused surface (it's flat), and costs about half what the Alpha does. The Pico is sub-$1,000 and looks like a toy. :( Even $3k for the "budget" Tau is too much for me.

i gotta fix the wheelchair lift, install tiedowns for the chair, modify my hand controls, and the entire exhaust system has rusted out. i dont know of any charities that could help. i'm probably looking at $150 for the lift, $30 for more ratchet straps, unsure on hand controls, and the exhaust is probably gonna be $300 or so. oh the joys of owning a decrepid (sp?) old van.

Back to the future was a good movie. The second was good in it's day and I never saw the third. The first however, I can watch any time.

I bought a new trampoline for the boys because it finally lost it's tenth spring. I was somewhat smart and added the squirrel cage to my existing frame and then the new mat, pad, and springs. It probably saved me a couple hours in disassembly and assembly of the new frame. Now I have a brand new frame sitting in the box. Oh well.

Last comment for the night. MB is watching SNL and I have not seen it in about 5 years and I have to say I have to say the last time I saw crap this bad, I was walking through a pasture.

Yeah, I think George Lucas once said "sound is half the experience" when talking about making movies, I know the best films (and games, as many are becoming like movies you play through instead of watching) have good soundtracks and good sound effects.

Happy Monday guys! What's going on today?
For me just working.
To recap a few things, Yes Gostbusters was a great movie. SNL pretty much has sucked for a long time, there are the occassionally funny skits, but it few and far between.
Yes all teenagers are all the adjectives used before. Even you WB have some of the faults, its only natural. Don't fret to much about it, I was a total ignorant jerk of a teenager, we all grow up sooner or later, the hormones and the ladies got the better of my attention, God blessed man with two heads and only enough blood to use one at a time.;)

Could not have said it better my brother from another mother!

WB still has not told us if he got a swirly. We need an answer to that.

Also WB, this is my piece of advice to you. (I am being serious) Despite what we all say on scale, RCs are never cool in the eyes of a girl in HS. If you want the ladies to take interest in you, I suggest sports. I think Natalie Morgan was the only exception, and she is in college now, so you are not allowed to talk to her. LOL

I couldn't agree with you more. RC's are not cool to ANY girl, unless she already is into them before you meet her. My advice to WB is to stay away from the ladies in high school. Focus on having fun with your dudes and don't worry about the chicks. There's plenty of time for them to ruin your life after high school.

Also, he can't get a swirly since he is Asian. It would be considered a hate crime and everyone would get sued.^_^

Yeah, I think George Lucas once said "sound is half the experience" when talking about making movies, I know the best films (and games, as many are becoming like movies you play through instead of watching) have good soundtracks and good sound effects.

Now if I could just get a better soundtrack when I read a book... :lolbeat:

I listened to Tangerine Dream's "Turn of the Tides" album when I read God Emperor of Dune. THAT was interesting.

I finally watched Clash of the Titans Friday night. I was happy with it, the whole story seemed kind of rushed however. There was very little character developement. It was only 1 hr and 40 minutes so they could've expanded it some. Anyway never the less it was a decent flick.

Excellent memories Ogg. Seems like it was just yesterday when we watched the movie. My Dad was a big Steve McQueen fan and I think that rubbed off on me as well. My dad always talked about him and his favorite character was Cooler King in the "Great Escape".

Ya know, I can't say that there are any movie stars within the last 20 years that have had the following like those of old, Steve McQueen, James Dean, Bogart, Marilyn MOnroe, they don't have the draw the like the ones of the past did. My guess is because they did it for the love of acting and entertaining, where its all about business today.

I still have not seen LeMans yet. I heard it was a flop at the theater, but a must own by racing enthusiasts. Ed, You for got two more. James Garner and and Paul Newman. Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke was excellent, but the best part was when "Lucille" was washing the car.

Harry very true statement, there were a lot of great acotrs back then though, that can't all be named. Maybe its the quality of the movie today and not so much the acotrs, I don't know. I do know when I think of acotrs and actresses, none of them jump out at me like if someone was to mention one from the 50s or 60s. John Wayne, is another.

It shows input voltage at 10-18 volts. Get some banana clips with the same type connection as the battery plugs and you should be OK.

We have pollock up here, too. Dang-near the most versatile white fish there is. Most fastfood fish food-related objects intended for consumption in Barackistan are AK pollock. They can get really old, providing the Bolsheviks don't get 'em first.

Banana clips are the metal tipped connectors that are shown in the picture of your charger. Alligator clips are on one end of the wire and the banana clips are on the other. The banana clips slide into the charger. Alligator clips hook up to your 12Volt automobile battery.
