well I really got the semi bug and just sold a clod on the bay so i have enough to get one from stellamodels. :chug:
my question's for you guys are.....how hard is it to install the light kits once the truck is built?
I don't have enough cash for the light kit just yet.
has anyone tried to use one of those 1/14th scale toy type trailers you see on ebay all the time on there tamiya's?
the tamiya trailer are a bit pricey.
by the way I'm getting the king hauler,to me thats a real semi(I'm an old fart). :nice:

scott, its not hard at all. i would actually prefer the rig built first before installing the lights. trying to wire it up as you go gets confusing and to me its easier to install it all once everything is in place. you only have to remove a few pieces to ffully install it and it makes it easier to route the wires when everything is assembled  .

tamiya's light instructions are so easy you could put them in blindfolded.. so having the truck assembled won't be a problem..
imo tho, save up and get the mfu.. it will make the truck really come alive..
as for the trailer, i can use the bruder or fake ebay trailers on my rigs, but i had to add the tamiya hitch pin, but you could probably make one

The MFU has a lot of wires and it's in your best interest to keep them organized. Here are some pics I took on my MFU install on a built King Hauler http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=28594&id=34
