I ordered two Aoshima Toyota crewcab kits. Ones going under the knife and will be SSMT'd...
The other one I want to make as a model. But no ordinary model. Seeing as I will have plenty of spare parts from the 2nd kit I want to try to make the model a solid axle front end. Thats the only part of the model I don't like. It's been a while since I have done a model kit so it should be fun to get back into it.
Heres a picture of the box thats coming at least so you have something to look at...

Do you mean it has IFS? It doesn't look ISF in the pic. ;)

1992 should be solid front end, I think you will find it is OC.

That picture shows a definate IFS front end. And all Toyotas past 86 here lost the front axle (Stupidest thing Toyota ever did)
We also couldn't get the deisel unless it was a 1 ton 2wd dually truck. (friends pulled a few engines from those for conversions to 4x4's)
And to top it off we never got a crew cab. All three of these things are abundant everwhere in the world EXCEPT North America.
I have always wanted to import one in. But Canada has a 15 year grandfather clause. So its almost time I could import a 92 Crew, solid front axle, diesel... Just not sure if the hassle would be worth it. My luck I would get in an accident a week after I did it.

We have had IFS Hilux for only 2 years here now, 2003 was the start of the change over, we get 15 models in the Hilux range.
I think with your model if it was IFS it wouldn't have the steering stabilizer shock on the front. :poke:

Ya but does the kit come with all that?
I got an Aoshima Baja version of the Hilux and since it is curbside I'm adding a V-8 in it so, I'll take some pics for you guys!
I should turn one into a SSMT!

I have one of these kits, and it's IFS. Not a problem for OC here, but mine was kinda destroyed.
