CMS For SCX10

Im looking for a kit that will replace the front plastic chassis peice that the bumper mounts in with a metal one that would let me mount the steering servo across the front of the chassis behind the cross peice. It does not need to still hold the bumper. Does anyone know of such a kit? Thanks.

Hand Bros CMS kit.

Doesn't mount quite how you describe, but is the most efficient and easiest to use, IMO.

Here y'go, done the hard work for you.

If you go for this, make sure you get right one.
There is one for the SCX10 and one for the SCX10 Honcho.
I have one on my Honcho and I love it.

Thanks Mark, I forgot there were two variants.

The RC4WD kit gives you the metal cross members you asked for.

Hadn't seen that one before...

Does it use A '5th link' to eliminate bump steer?

HyperMark 02-15-2012 01:25 AM

By the looks of that photo there is no panhard and its still using the factory 'Y' for the top link.
Also its not mounted across the front like the original poster requested.
Pretty much the same as the Hand Bros but not 3 link with panhard.
And on the opposite side.

Thanks for the replys everyone but with what I'm building I really need it mounted across the front.

Checkout the vendors section, GCM sells them.

with my 80mm shocks only like 1cm of bump steer, hardly noticeable. and im not going to build a pan hard bar for it either. yes it mite eliminate bump steer but it also stiffens the suspension and does not allow both shocks on each side to compress at the same time.

I could but I have found that if I can buy a part that is made for what I'm trying to do it seems to work a lot better then if I make it. And for the $30 for the GCM kit how much it my time worth?

High steer knuckles might fix that....
