Thanks Rick, my 50mm timing belt came in today, so I'm going to try and make fenders in the morning.
I tried using old SRB sand paddles but they were too narrow and the ribs too close together. And I didn't feel like buying $40 2.2 paddles just to cut them up would be effective. Especially since they wouldn't be worn down at all.
The timing belt has ribs every 3/8", and the belt is only 5mm thick at the ribs so it's thin and stiff like a tire would be. I'm only going to have to make like 3 supports for each fender. At least in theory.
