Call me excessive but its 4 coats of Tamiya black backed with 5 coats of Pactra metalic black, I was going for a black so deep that no light could possibly come through, and I think I achieved it. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.......pay no attention to the messy room in the background.

I always thought the Peterbilt bodies looked awkward on a 4WD but this one looks proportional and well balanced. I guess those 9 coats helped out or something :) Whatever it is.. desired effect achieved! :nice:

Nice! Sure is a big sucker with those Savage shocks on it. I like how you trimmed the grill decal, subtle but definitely adds to the overall appeal.

hey thanks... :chug: Glad somebody noticed the grill....I preferred keeping it all black but I needed to have the grill itself detailed, I cut the peterbuilt badge out of the grill decal to make the grill surround look painted black.....
I realised the shocks were binding on the chassis itself tho - which is why its getting a re-work, I'll see how well it does once its done it was pretty stiff before tho... I love the peterbuilt lids... :excited:  |
