What is the spring included in the package for? Also, is there a reason why the motor will not fit without removing a single screw in the transmission.

The spring is for the dig side. If you have a high strength servo, you should not need it. It was added for servos that are not that strong to help disconnect the dig function.

As for the motor fitting. Your going to need to be a little more descriptive. I can't really help to much with that unless you post a photo or provide a little more info.

Without removing the missing screw from the transmission, the motor and pinion will not fit.

What tooth pinoin you use mine dont do that,mine is real close to the curved part of the trans.

The pinion is the one they sent.

With the stock 8t pinion I don't have that issue with mine.

I can see with some motors depending on how the front bell is designed that it would hit.
