i got a couple.
olympic arms *plinker* colt orig. ar-15 Both great shooters. Just gotta stay on top of keeping them clean. VERY TIGHT tolerances in mfg'ing. GREAT pieces. However, my bro has a *mak90* and I have a sks, both in 7.62. My sks has been modd'ed to accept a 75 or 100rd drum. I personally prefer my sks over the ar. Just a bit heavier but internal tollerances are a bit looser so its not as finicky about being spotless inside. Shoots just as straight as the *plinker* we have. Never set it side by side with the Colt though. |

I have a Rock River AR15 chambered in 5.56/.223. If you're only varmint hunting it may be overkill, but you can buy chamber kits to accept cheaper 9mm or .40 S&W rounds. Cheaper to feed that way.
