Picked one of these up from the BST a little ways back, tried it once and shelved it. Too top heavy. Then recently pulled 'er out, modded it up, and am loving this little thing now.
First things first was some fuel line shock limiters. Then flipped the tranny around to allow room for the battery and built a new chassis for it to hold the battery just above the front 3 link. Made a panel for the rear 3 link to carry the rx and mounted the speed control on the rear axle. New tires make a difference and a HPI driver set it off. After a couple test runs I added the rock sliders. Now to shape them up a little.
This thing is such fun and is small enough I can sneak it to work and take it out in the field with me. Next mods are a standard size servo maybe and I'm looking at the controller ,how to make it smaller, maybe pocket size.
Action shots next run. Hopefully my phone cam wont freeze up like it did last time.
