Default First Timer!

Hey guys I have been lurking here for several years both under this username and an old one that I have long forgotten and REALLY want to get into scale crawling!

So I am looking at the TF2 (but I dont want the body at all) and the SCX10's from Axial but they arent leaf set ups. I would prefer to start with a Leaf sprung rig because I want to replicate my old truck. However it seems pretty costly to start off that route and I am wondering if I should settle for an SCX10. Or is there a better truck to start with?

Here is my old truck BTW

Well the scx10 is about the cheapest way to get into scalin and also have tons of upgrades possible as well as great performance in stock form. With that said a TF2 is a nice looking kit and if you really want leafs then get that kit, sell the body and use the cash to get your self set up with a F350 body you can extend.

I guess as with every hobby it boils down to how much money I want to spend er... My wife will let me spend!

After doing a ton of research though they both seem to be pretty capable out of the box for starters. I am no stranger to RC I fly planes, helis, boats, and dabble in various cars/trucks here and there.
