Hey Mr. J. what's happenin on your side of the pond? We had a nice thaw and now we're back to snowfall and this weekend is supposed to get down to below 20 degrees for the daily high!

I don't know about Joker, but here in London it's snowing properly for the first time this winter. Trains, buses, planes, will all be brought to a halt soonest!

Strolled into Tesco earlier to find half the shelves empty?!?!, people are going loony again, snow covered roads an the boy racers still doing 40 in a 30 on it too. Lunacy here, there, and everywhere.

We get the same thing here in the states when the weather people say a storms coming. All of the grocery markets are packed with people and empty shelves. Sadly the storms we get here are never worse than any other storms we've ever had. Makes me laugh!

Yup we have snow, shops shelves are being emptied, people are losing their heads(at least when they get behind the wheel)...Yay for winter in the UK

Otherwise its quite picturesque... proper christmas card style blanket of snow everywhere...

So real winter decided to show up last night and today. We've gotten over
12" of snow in the past day and more coming along with zero degree temps with negative zero windchills. AHHHHH now that's January weather in WNY!

Do you get a lot of lake effect snow Edward?

Yes, my house is in the A-hole of WNY and anytime there is snow, especially lake effect, I get it! It hasn't been as bad for the last decade or so, but when I was a kid the snow banks on the side of the road would be higher than the snow plows. A few years ago my father in law and I kept track of the total amount of snow we got everyday in a snow guage and in May we totalled it up and it was over 20 feet of snow from Thanksgiving (roughly) through the following April. Do you guys get much where you are in Ohio Richie? I know some parts of Ohio do.

We barely had any snow last year. So far in my area we've had plow able snow 3 times. Cleveland and its east side is in a snow belt. Lots of lake effect. But I'm west of the action and that's fine with me.

Yea I knew Cleveland was in it, I have relatives in Berea. We had hardly any snow at all last year here either, this year going back to what a normal winter is. We've gotten another 10" since yesterday and expecting another 6-10 through today. It is up to a wonderful 8 degrees this morning, T-shirt weather!!

Hwy fellas! I see this thread is as derailed as ever and I long for the days that we were slow and I could hang out in here

Its 77 right now and it will get to a 60F tonight. Tomorrow is going to be a touch warmer at 83F

We did get snow once though. Christmas day in 2004. I even took pictures!





It was sticky too.
