Also going to have to re-work the hub-carrier position on the suspension arms. The rotor disc actually moves the wheel out by almost 3 mms putting them just beyond the fender lip. So gonna take the front suspension apart and re-drill the hub carrier position inwards about 3 mms. Will also have to shorten the link rods etc.
Once this is complete, I will continue with the disc brake install ![]() |

Ya the tq3 is a on off 2 position switch you can mod it to use a potentiometer but, that would probably be hard to make work comfortably.

Hey guys....need some assistance...
![]() The cables that came with the brake kit is too short by about 2 inches. Does anyone know where I can get a similar cable about 8-10 inches in length ? The cable itself (inner piece) is .5 mm thick ( measured with my caliper). This piece moves freely in the housing or sheath. This is the clearest pic I could find of the cable, as my camera doesn't do close up pics very well. ![]() |

Hey there Klampy, really haven't thought about doing something like that...not even sure if that will work....it's very similar to regular bicycle brake cables...

Just caught this thread... the brakes are such an innovative idea. I'm excited to see if you can get them working.
As far as longer brake cable, how about some of the braided wire that comes spooled on the 3racing winches? |

I believe that they will work. The front wheels are free wheeling (no diffs etc) and if I manually pull on the caliper cam, the wheels lock up! So with the right cable it should work. Not sure if the winch cable would work as the system will require a somewhat stiff cable that will push as well as pull in order for the caliper to release the rotor ! |
