Default Axial AX10 Scorpion Kit build help (Problem Solved)

I just bought the Axial AX10 Scorpion Kit and on page 16 in the manual step 20 it says to use the 3mm set screws to connect the drive shaft to the transmission output shaft but the set screw won't reach the flat part of the output shaft. is there a fix for this?

I solved my problem, seems like the threads in the shafts were not threaded all the way through so I re tapped them out and the grub screws set fine now, unfortunately had to gut my hi-lift electronics to make this thing run but damn it's fun!
