first things first....this lil operation you got goin on here...FREEEKIN AWEESOME!!!! our local hobbyshop posted a link on facebook to a website that featured your awesomeness. i did some more research and tracked you down to this forum. i had to create a login to comment to you on just how freeeeekin awesome i think this is! i must apologize, but i'm going to ask you some questions im sure you get asked a lot. who makes those excavators and front loaders? cuz i want one of each!!!! i have done some looking around on the webz and can't find anything that really matches what you are using. are those machines actually hydrolic? and i am aware that you have probably custom built most of these to your liking. i have indulged in R/Cs since i was a child. mostly cars and more recently planes and helis. but this is a whole. nuther. level!! very entertaining to watch!!

I guess Car Scoop was the first to pick up the article and Jalopnik snagged it from there... a lot of misinformation on both sites, so I sent them both emails to correct it, Car Scoop was the only one to respond and asked me to write a brief follow up to their story.

http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2012/02...sing-only.html

http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2012/02...-basement.html

Got a PM thru Scale from an australian news media Monday, they had a list questions for me and I answered them via email.

http://www.news.com.au/technology/ca...-1226270731287

Then today I get a call from a radio station in Melbourne, Australia, they're gonna call me tomorrow about noon for a live air interview with Red Simmons.

3 radio stations in Canada phoned me today for live air radio interviews... later tonite my lil sister in Toronto, Ontario sends me this (on the site is one of the radio interviews I did with CBC in Saskatchewan)...

Hah, you made George Strombol.... Awesome thing of the day list!! See link below.

http://www.cbc.ca/strombo/mobile/tou...at-a-time.html

A media editor from Germany sent me PM wanting an interview for their car news site www.spiegel.de

And probably another dozen news media both local & global wanting a minute of my time to discuss my hobby obsession... all PM's thru this forum! Lots of traffic thru this place, hopefully alot of it spills over to the rest of you fine builders/hobbyists who make this forum great & your passion gets noticed too.

It's just all too sureal! It's been an exhausting couple of days... with a possibly a couple more to follow yet! I'm looking forward to being yesterday's news and getting back to some normalcy...

We'll chit chat about the hobby a little later after all this hype dies down.

Gotta go snore

Later

Now don't go all charlie sheen "tiger blood" on us and let that fame go to your head...you've got a deadline on that basement project to work towards!

Well Joe now I can say it I finally met a Super Star. All kidding aside it is great that the hobby is getting some needed attention and not a better person to represent it. You have put a lot of time and helpful knowledge into it. Keep up the good work. Ed

Ha - just found this on the carscoop site and was coming over to link it. Amazing stuff - one of the few people on Youtube who's vids I watch without fail to see what's new.

Great job bringing some attention to the hobby. Keep up the awesome work!

I found this site from a thread about Joes lil giants on Yellowbullet.com and im sure that is partly to blame for the interest. It has members from Australia that passed out your info and alot of people are on that site. My dad and i spent a couple hours talking on the phone while watching your videos and looking at the pics. Theres been several construction companys on the east coast that have had their offices filled up with spectators watching your videos that i know of. Thanks for sharing your hobby with the world, theres alot of haters out there but for every one of them theres a ton of people that think its really cool. JT
