Well Joe my diabetes took its toll on my left eye, im now working on getting my weight down, and get my sugar under control, I do not have any r/c rite now, had to sell it to get funds for my needs. Hated to get ridd of it , but had to to do all I can to survive., I always wanted to have one of Freddie ,s dumpboxes, I guess now I will never own one, as I been off the site here to deal with my problems, now just finding out we lost one of our most inventive builders, im shocked to have just learned this as he will be missed, but never forgotten, as his legacy will live on our site here. So RIP freddiegeardrive, not to mention we still have many great builders here to help us learn, this is our site for construction, love it, thanks guys for all your builds, allen

Yeah, Freddy's passing was quite sudden & a shock to everyone that knew him, he will be remembered for many yrs to come... I don't know what's happening with his collection of rc, nothing has been said, but some of his boxes from inventory may surface sometime in the future.. I lyk if any do.

Best wishes for your health improving Allen and getting back into the hobby.

I've been busy trucking, with my 1:1 R Mack the past week, haven't accomplished a whole lot in the quarry.. but I did manage to build some new buckets over the wkend from some precut metal Fumotec sent me. They're in the paint booth right now.

Nice work on the buckets Joe. You should be moving material twice as fast now. Two more weeks and the basement is finished! Ok, maybe three weeks.

The paint is not lasting long.. I used a metal etching primer too!

I made a couple vids this week..

Komatsu clearing away from the screener.

850 screening the wet lumps, then the adt stock piling the wet lumps behind the water heater.. had to use the board to climb the pile, trying to climb loose soil that steep, the adt just digs a hole.. getting it piled quite high back there.

This big bucket is about 50% larger than kit stock.. move alot dirt quickly, especially from the far wall where it's quite a confined area to maneuver within.

No PM G?

Thanx colt45.

Spot on Martin

I don't think there is powder coating locally Jason, and the city is 70miles away.. regular use keeps 'em shiny.

So I put my tireless working 6wd GL on the workbench for a tune up..

Added some weight to the front axle, and added an extra fuel tank packed full of BB's, transfer more of that power to the ground!

Off to the basement for a trial.

The white GL pulled the B Train up the ramp with open diffs with very little slippage, but the HiTec 625 steering servo couldn't handle the extra weight hanging out in front of it & caused the rx to glitch like crazy whenever I tried to turn sharply. So I then installed a HiTec 645, as well as Castle Creations BEC.. these Tamiyas are so easy to work on.

Testing it out on the bench, trying to go forward and the shift servo glitched crazily! didn't matter where I plugged the CC BEC rx lead into.. junked the Polk radio from this trk and used my extra DX8 rx.. trk is working better than it has ever before! Very smooth! Love these Spektrum radios.

I tried my narrow bucket today, didn't work as well as I hoped... more experimenting.. two teeth on the edges or just one in the middle (too bad I welded them in )

I carved an entry ramp into the wall and the 850 climbed back onto the wall itself.
