Everytime I see that car I get the goosepimples, it is just freakin awesome. THE best scale car I have ever seen. I really would love to find a body like that for myself one day. Where did you find yours? Ebay? And what about the wheels? I presume they are RC10 wheels but I haven't seen any like that before.

well I found this kit, a 1/8th 82 Z28 and a1/8th 85 corvette all at a local hobbyshop/furniture store that was going put of buisiness...got all 3 kits for $20 lol. I have seen them on ebay but they are pricey. and the wheels are older RC10 aftermarket units that were originally anodised blue. but some oven cleaner and mothers polish made them all shiny. the yare 2.0 sized and tires are gettign harder to come by for them. luckily I have 4 complete sets of these. but also the Kyosho super 10 and HPI super nitro car's wheels also fit the scale of these bodys ( I have a set of the chrome mesh BBS style for it) they look like 18's on it...very sharp

Thanks for the info kingcobra, I'll be looking out for a kit on ebay. and I think I saw some pics of your 3rd gen with the BBS style wheels, they look really cool too. I like the cowl/tach combo great attention to detail.

thanks...the tach is a majik marker top a few strips of aluminum wraped around it...the face is cut from a magazine and covered w clear tape. simple...now the hood is another issue...I cut the center out and made the entire cowl of sheet styrene. it was a pain lol

Found one on ebay, didn't take too long  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW You were right about the price too! There's actually three up for sale, guess the sellers figured they would be the only ones on there to have one, so they plastered rare all over the place.

KingC,
In all honesty when I first saw this car I wondered why he posted his real car in the rc section... I could not tell it was Rc.. I have t ask what is the chassis underneath it?? and where did u get the pipes from..that car is awesome man.. Im surprised I have nevewr seen it before.....

Big Kudos for that build....

its a custom made aluminum chassis that uses Associated Buggy suspension and gearbox. the pipes are associated body mounts with chrome antenna tubing slid over the small diameter section and epoxied in place. and thanks!

Man that has to be one of the most realistic RC cars that I have ever seen. My buddy has a few of the Revel 1/8th scale models but they are all Lamborgini's and such. That hood really sets it off.

thanks :nice: I shot some video of it today...the video

I was driving one handed while filming so it isn't a spectacular driving display  and to top it off the rear tires are slicks...so there are a few spinouts and I never went over half throttle during the entire shoot because I was driving while looking through the camera...too scared I'd run off into the yard and hit a tree lol

That is an awesome vid, and really awesome music, it would be so cool if you could get to powerbrake somehow, or maybe get it to wheelie. It looks like the real thing driving around, well except for going up the curb, about 7 feet tall scale height  ...and the winner for best articulation in a 3rd gen camaro goes to... Kingcobra
