I've never been a big fan of green....I found a pic of a graphite colored one (same color as my r/c camaro) and it looked really good but I'm not sure how it would look with a tan top...so I'm thinking red

I've been hunting for one of those for ages. Can't seem to find one up here in Canada. I have similar ideas to yours Kingcobra, but I thought about altering the bodywork on the front clip a bit. If I can find one, I'm going to section the fenders, cutting a wedge out of them, bringing the headlights to a more vertical position.
A custom rear bumper and filling the tail lamps, and adding some simple led's protruding through the body will make that thing look a lot more like a Land Rover.
I've picked up a Bruiser frame, and a graupner 480 motor with a planetary gear reduction on the end of it. I haven't decided on a tranny/transfercase, but I'll be scavenging the TLT axles from my bulu. I've gotten bored of the bulu and its time for a change to a more scale rig.

Cobra ,your work is phenominal and an inspiration.

Dan.

looks good KC... :chug:

landys are often green or blue, but they do alot more colours from the factory:

IMO Red or silver would look good...

thanks burban! I'm not real familiar with landrovers but I have seen them a time or two. I'm making this one to be a runner so I didn't want to spend too much time w custom bodywork. I'll make a bullbar w light guards and redo the headlight lenses and it will look close enough for me. but I'm still going to detail the heck out of it...cheers!

and spoon thx for the link!! I think a red will be the ticket here.

well the paint wasn't working out too well so I went and got another type...this is duplicolor heat resistant engine enamel (so I should be ok if I want to run this one on the sun) this stuff is very durable and super shiny even without a clear coat....its a mix of orange and red and should look sweet when it's done...
