Default My biggest buck

Here is a pic of my biggest Whitetail to date.
This was shot @ 7:30am opening morning back in 2002.

10 pointer shot with a Remington 700PSS custom shop in 300wm. Was walking broadside @ 145yrds roughly. One shot, dropped where it was. I was using Nosler Ballistic tip 180gr.

I have it European mounted.

Nice Buck.....I've kinda gotten away from hunting for the past couple years........I'd like to find the time to get back into again someday soon though

I hunted with Bow and Muzzleloader only...for the last 4-5 yrs that I did hunt.

In Indiana...we can't use High powered rifles.........BUT....they WILL let you use High Caliber rounds...in PISTOL FORM.

Tell me......how dumb is that.....I can have an Encore....or other kinds of High Powered "Pistols".....with a Barrel that is NEARLY as long as a rifle....but they won't let me use an actual RIFLE to hunt with.

Dumbest law that I've ever seen....when it comes to hunting.

you want a dumb hunting law

over here it's illegal to hunt with any form of bow, but not illegal to hunt with an arrow

WOW, it never stops amazing me how stupid laws can be.

I too have gotten away from hunting the last 3 years, no time or money for it....I am hoping to get back out there this November though.

I was an advent hunter from the first time I could hold a .22,but after several tours where your shooting at other then 4 legged targetsI kinda lost interest, but still enjoy target shooting, especially long range.I'm thinking about updating all the course and paper work needed for restricted and see if I can find a good solid tactical style rifle for long range tagged shooting, but first I have to convince the wife I miss it and enjoyed getting out on the range.

I do too, I have not been out shooting in a couple years now, I am hoping getting the pistol coarse done will get be back at it.

For a good tactical, look into the newer M-14 offerings they are killer !!
