Thanks Guys.
Sk8te, that is the Remington 700 PSS (Police Sniper System). Very nice to shoot, the 30-06 kicks more then that does. I can shoot it all day in a tee shirt and not have a sore shoulder.

They look great, I have one like the gray rifle but with an air tube. It works with air pump. Don't know much about it.

I knew that was a PSS.....just from that "BULL BARREL" in one of the first photo's up at the top of the page !

I recently sold one of my Rem 700's....it was a pretty limited gun...a PSS....in 6.8mm SPC !

I got one Helluva deal on it....in a Group buy.......a few of us over at Sniper's hide forum....bought up like 75 of these rifles...from the armorer that does alot or did most of the military sniper rifles....awhile back !

We got them new in the box for like $500 !!!!!!!!!

I sold mine at the Indy 1500 gun show...2 yrs later....for like $950 !

I'd like to have another bull barrelled.....bolt action tactical rifle......or I may even look into something like an M4 or AR.....based platform...for my next rifle build

Sweet collection! looks like a ton of fun, do you collect and shoot them as a hobby or do you also do competitions?

I am thinking a Rem Model 40-x or the Rem M24SWS next. I love these high power tack drivers. I have a 500yrd range at the cabin, we get together a couple times a year for a good old fashion "who's the best shot" comp. We use balloons tied up on either side of a paper plate as one long range "hostage" target, get the plate and not the balloons, harder then it sounds @ 500yrds with a wind.

I am also in the stages of making up a tactical pistol course too for this coming year.

Yes it is. I scored that and the Browning rifle off of a friend for $300 total It is in ok shape, someone re-blued the barrel and did a half *** job. It's worth around $500 as is.

Just a hobby, I have a friend, former Marine as well, that used to shoot for the National Match team but I never have, no where near good enough for that.

Its when I see these well crafted tactical weapons,I miss my days with the military and getting out on the long range doing night shoots with the new electronic ranges where the targets glow for a few seconds after the first hit.
I have always wanted an AR style gun but they are under the restricted/prohibited weapons here in Canada, but rumour has it they are changing that and colt along with another manufacturer is making them in a .22cal which would be all I need to get back into simple target. It would also make a great varmint rifle living out here in the middle of nowhere or against an unwelcome house guest, which already happened last summer, but the wife had the shotgun shells locked in the safe(she hates guns)

I saw one of the Colt 22 versions here at a local store. Seemed high priced for a 22 at $599. To me there are much better plinckers out there for the money. I would prefer a 17 cal over a 22 anyday for a long range, 100yrd, tack driver. A few of my friends have 17's anf we hit golf bals @ 100yrds all day long. Should look into one of them, they are very nice.
