I'm hoping for a heated windshield because the defrost on the 1:1 is a bit weak.

PS: The real one has a 110" wheelbase so this is bigger than a 1/10.

Unless it's a 130" wheel base.
Nah, no need for a heated windshield, now a heated back window to keep your hands warm while you push after the ecm fizzles out..

If it's a 130 they got the body all wrong.

It looks more like a 110 to me.

Can't wait for mine to arrive.

12.8/110=0.116
1/8.5=0.117

So they can call it 1:10, but that measurement makes it about 1:8.5

we all know this argument though. Ultimately, it's more about being in-line with other manufacturers so that the truck is about the same size. If they made every truck to 1/10 scale according to the body, there would have to be too many chassis and drivetrain variations to make.

Well yes and no... I mean an 11" wheelbase is solidly in the on-road touring car dimensions. 12.8" is longer than some 1:10th scale monster truck wheelbases.

Put another way, this body would probably fit on a Traxxas E-maxx/Summit quite well, but would swamp the 4tec 2.0.

Still... that does mean any large scale or monster truck body should fit on it quite well

Looks like it works pretty decent at low speeds and moves at good pace in high gear. The whole debate about scale is what I was talking about earlier though, a ton of trucks say 1:10 but a hilux is not the same wheelbase as a super duty 1:1. I think we need to move past what the box says for scale and just look at what can be built on it, I'm sure you can shrink or stretch WB a bit on it just like people do to scx10's all the time.

I'd forget all about the Exact scale size, for the price point and the value you get for your buck.
Scale dont matter to me.
2speed,waterproof,lipo compatible,portal axles,locking diffs.....traxxas tough for $479

I can see a couple KOH style jeeps being built on these already lol. The portal axles are the only thing I'm kinda meh about, I mean I know they are cool and offer more clearance but I prefer plain old axles with maybe portals as an add on option.

Aside from Unimogs, and technically Hummers, nothing really runs portal axles. They make kits for Jeeps, there is a yellow Rubicon in Twin with the portal kit along with a lift kit. Whole lota money and I've never seen it dirty lol.

The Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 has portal axles from the factory. Now that would be a sweet RC...

So the portals are only to make it different from everything else, as are the lockin diffs. Which are completely unnecessary on an RC. The trucks don't weight enough to worry about unlocking for tight turns.

The 2 speed is only because the only question non RC people ask is "how fast does it go?" Doesn't matter if its a trackhoe or a race car.

the turning radius on my venom creeper is drastically reduced when I unlock the diffs. it doesn't "push" as much as it does when they are locked. I don't know how much of a difference the portals will make, but it would be nice if they have a better turning radius than the gmade portals.
