Default Legends class Brute

So I decided to dive back in the <4" tire world and build something I've always wanted to build, a jeep brute!
Been wanting this for years and never taken the time to build one. Pretty simple build. Most of the time is going to be getting the bed right and the grill swap

Started with a tamiya yj of course. Will be grafting a newbright tj grill into it once the bed is done.

Gear

Axles- Chinese/ boom racing scale complete axles

Chassis- tf2 rails

Wheels-1.55 rc4wd wagons (want some gearhead ute but everywhere is out of stock)

Tires-1.55 rc4wd rock crushers

Motor- Holmes 27t

Esc- micro x or br mini

Servo- protek 370tbl

Radio-dx4c

Winch-warn 9.5 mini

Trans-prototype 3d printed fwd mounted

T case-rc4wd hammer

Will be running leafs in the rear and links up front.
Custom bumpers and sliders and bed rack

Placed an order of .080 styrene and got busy!

In the pics you may see an scx frame but it's getting put aside for the tf2 and dont mind the leafs on the front axle. Was playing with the idea of full leafs to keep the yj theme but decided to go to a tj grill and some body changes. This is about where I'm at on everything. Quick and up to date into since it's not much of anything going on. Still have to finish up the top lip on the bed and the back of the bed. Used mojave wheel wells in the bed to keep it simple and even. Will be looking to get a hold of a newbright tj to rob the dash out of. Then chop the window bars out and keep rolling.
Styrene isnt my thing so it's going slow and daunting. I'm excited for the metalwork😁

If anyone has a set of gearhead ute for sale please lmk!

Outstanding work there! I wouldn't put a TJ grill in it. The whole front end on the TJ is different from the YJ. It can look just as good at the stage your body is at right now.
