well, you could braze a little Fiat logo to one of the tubes and have it be a X-1/9. except for the fact that the X-1/9 was a mid engine sports car and this is a mid engine 4WD rock buggy. but other than that little technicality . . .

anyway, I'd be tempted to use axial axles with regular TC wheels to bring the track width back in to close to what you've got drawn up. it'd be a bit easier to set up the suspension, at least in my mind, because you would be able to go off of how the stock axial chassis plates are set up, and just shortening the links to bring the WB into spec. also, since you're going short wheelbase, why not use the TTR MIP dig CVD center shafts, seeing as they are shorter (which I'd assume you'd need a shorter driveshaft, given the short wheelbase this thing has). just a suggestion
by the way, that's some pretty damn good work in sketchup, I must say

I hope

I added 3 tubes:

I have to say I'm liking it a lot, but I'm considering that frame as a school to braze and to work with tubes. There are some not symmetrical parts, but considering that's my first Iron brazed frame I'm happy

Pliers and creativity
That's the test to find the right position of the hood with shocks mounts before to braze.

A second before the brazing

Roller
There will be more tubes, but I couldn't resist to mount the axles...

side view show that there are some missing tubes in the front section.

Artic

I have to say I like it a lot

Well, since I finally ysed the torch to build the Lady's cage, I had no excuses not to braze the last 2 tubes on X-91

Plus a bit of time and this rig is completed

Completed frame.

Close up of the new hood tubes.

I built a link/battery/servo plate. I think I'll end with a single pack.

New geometry with the new plate.

SDI XL will do the work.

Rear link/servo mount in carbon fiber (thanks to Airship )

First weight measurement: 1811gr.

Short stub axles that increase steering

More shots

Second weignt measuremets.
Wheels are 230 gr at front and 170 gr at rear.

Last mod at rear set-up:

Panels and Artic

Now I have to paint it. That's the hard part of the job for me

What do you think?

The wheels are built by an italian man here who produced some. Not a mass product...

I'm waiting for the wave rings to be powdercoated Black

As for the color I'm thinking about Blue and White
