proline body >

Length: 18.3" (465mm)
Width: 7.3" (185mm)
Height: 5.4" (137mm)
Wheel Base: 11.8" (300mm)

compared to yours @ 1:10

Length: 415mm
Width: 173mm
Height: ..
Wheel Base: 257.52

its proper 1/10 so it would be a bit smaller. you might actually need to run it at 1/8 to make it more suited to the SCX chassis.

time will tell i suppose, do you have an SCX chassis you could put a body on??

I never get tired of your CAD work or your 3D printed models. Keep at it Micha. I know the CAD work involved in something like this yet you make it look so easy.

I won't ever paint this body, since it was not really done for me. But a guy here in Germany bought one of these bodies off of shapeways, and is building a scale version. SO I can post his body as soon as he has it ready.

I would doubt that I will go into further detailling. Probably I will make other versions like the facelift version, and then maybe a SWB variant. But alsp probably in the winter coming, at the moment scale modelling if off the list: I am restoring my real mercedes G, and this consumes all available time and money.

Updates on which project? This is the most important question when asking me!

Yes, this is quite some project indeed. This one has an OM616 mounted, there is another one waiting with an OM617A (though not original, but a very smooth running engine). And finally there is one from 1979 waiting with a M102 (?) waiting as well.

Can the cherokee body be scaled down to 1/20 scale? And if so would this lower the price?

If you ever do print a 1:10 scale gen1 Trooper body kit, I would gladly buy one from you!

Sorry for the late answer: Yes, indeed the body can be scaled down, and then the price will be lower. Printing cost were calculated from the building volume, meaning the envelope and the volume of the model. Maybe there were adjustments necessary concerning the wall thickness.
But at the moment unfortunately there is little time. Drop me a line per PM, then we will see!

Same here: I can check the files, and upload them to get a quote for you. I will certainly not print one for me, but if you were interested feel also free to drop me a line....
