Default Ramcharger Prerunner Back from the dead!

It happened again

I started another build when I got tired of working the other. I was digging through the ol' parts bins and pulled out an old micro dt front suspension and a beat ramcharger body. I just kinda started piecing things together while trying to build something i've not done or seen to much before. I'm pretty pumped about getting this one into a runner and give it a go on some doubles and tabletops!

First the style of truck i'm shooting for...

Thanks! Ya, I tried to come up with something simple that worked well and I think this will be ok. Actually quite easy to change spring rates with different diameter bars.

I seen Ramcharger and knew it was you, the Mopar Maniac!! lol This build is gonna be cool!!! Is this the old yellow/orange Ramcharger body? I also see a dually body in the backround? You should take a picture of your whole micro collection!!!! Anyways, this build is looking great! What are you plans for the drive-train? Colors? lol Lots of question!

And as always, some inspiration!! lol If you haven't notice, I like searching for 1:1 versions of peoples rc crawlers! lol
Here are some pictures!

Thanks MC, I appreciate it! To bad about your Tahoe man, I hope you get back to it sooner or later.

The kit is by Monogram and i've scored a few of them over the years for pretty cheap but the NIP ones are really spendy ($100 or more) I just got this one in a junkyard lot for around $10 shipped with anotherbody thats beat beyond use. The Dually is a 1/20 94-95 and thats all i've got to say about that body lol... I'd take a pic or two of my body collection and such but i'm afraid the wife might see it

The drive axle is redcat micro for its super speedy gearing and a losi trans with 3850kv brushless motor . Not sure on the rear shocks, maybe custom ones but i'd like to find some scalish diameter oil filled shocks that were quite long as they well be mounted cantilever style on the rear links.

Thanks for the 1:1 pics and for your paint question, think Walker Evans

Yeah I hope to get back to building the Tahoe!! I got a new camera and wanted the Dodge back together to make a video of it before it was totally gone to pieces!! lol You got a good deal on those bodies!! I hope there is a crawler in store for that dually!! That would be awesome if you could get a picture of all your crawlers!! That thing should fly with that setup! Lipo battery I assume? Oil filled shocks, try Losi Micro Sct ones, but they might not be long enough??Ahhh Walker Evans!! Like this??

Hopefully I will get the Tahoe done!! Maybe send it to you for paint??

Thanks, I hope to get a run video of it tonight or tomarrow. Was running her around the house last night and had no breaks or issues, just need to put a nice tune on the suspension and it'll be gtg. Priming the body in a bit here after removing all the moldings off the body.

You guys think it really needs the fenders like in the 1:1 pics or does it look alright as is? I'm kinda feeling lazy...

I think it looks great...but fenders would be pretty cool. I definitely understand your feelings of laziness...I suffer from that daily!

Another cool rig in the making!

I think it looks good the way it is, a fender job would be nice up front though....Either way I will be waiting for a vid of this mean machine in action

That is awsome man. The rear axlse setup is really nice and interesting. Funny how I had wanted to do something like this with my bronco before I turned it into a crawler.
