Default i bought a grasshopper

well i was in the mood to add a buggy to my fleet, so i went and picked up the rereleased version of the grasshopper. i know its worthless without pics but i will be gettin them soon, probably tonight, the only thing i changed so far was the speed controller and swapped in a 27 turn motor. its a lot of fun and a cheap price. :chug: pics later real soon though eh

Word of advice, add bearings if it dont have em already. especialy if your runnin a 540.

My gear case had a serious melt down (literaly) cause it had bushings, but then again I had a Reedy 19T in it Lol

Grasshoppers are cool and alot of fun. It was my first real RC.

Congrats :nice:

looks good... :chug:

missing several of the small wheel screws tho... you'll need a re-release grasshopper A parts bag to get those....

Slyp - actually mine is currently in fine mechanical + electrical order, all It needs is the wing repaired and a new lick of paint:

i have all the hardware to finish my grasshopper but i wanted to get it running the other night before it was totally dark. so i cut some corners. oops. oh well , i am totally happy with it and even though it has like no ground clearance its a blast to drive on the sand. oh and spoon, i have a pretty decent availability of original grasshopper parts from a small time hobby shop here in japan if theres anything you need let me know and i could see if they have it

Jeepbub: thanks thats a nice offer, the irony is the GH is in pretty decent condition, I would like to repair the bodyshell myself as I havent really done much work with styrene and its good practice, plus it will save me about 15 buying a new Re-release one...

the one thats taking longer to restore is the sand scorcher I got with the GH, I dont suppose the hobby shop you go to has any original Sand scorcher parts?
