the detail on the rust, especially around the hood star and lettering is phenomenal. definitely would love to see a 'how to' video of just how you did it so realistically.

if you didnt show a 'before' pic, i'd swear that was a steel body.

Thanks friends!

I will try to do a tutorial with pictures, but it is very simple ..

just be patient!!! .. add much water in the paint and go!

the problem is that when you're painting, it seems that is not painting anything .. but just let the water dry out and spend another coat.

Do this several times until the desired coverage. i mean..several times

you can use various shades of brown, burgundy, red, blue, silver .. it's just going and seeing what color apears .. and the paint is always very thin .. too thin..a lot thin!!!

ahh .. I use this technique along with my other techniques .. depending on the type of effect that I want to ... I always use powder too ..rubbing fingers.. everything is there in the TRM .. topolino rusty method! thread..

so... here is the history..

well ... I found this body behind a barn in an old farmhouse ...

missing some parts, like engine, suspension and radiator for example,.. some parts are brand new..or second hand..

the engine is coming soon .. the suspension will be decided after the arrival of the engine .. but the radiator ..

radiator I found in a junkyard ..

(BTW.. i have no ideia if the engine will fit..but this is just another problem...)
