Thanks all. The Yoda pic cracks me up
On the wheels, I haven't been ready to pony up the coin for the alloys I want for this rig yet. Planned on some RC4WD true scale wheels. Any other ideas?

The true scale classic wheels are pretty sharp and on sale too! It's hard because you don't want a modern style...it wouldn't fit the truck. My superduty has similar aluminum wheels. I think they would look pretty sharp. Or...you could get nutty and make your own. Snoop around for some of the other venders. I think there are guys making custom wheels, maybe there is something out there other than rc4wd. But, they do a pretty nice job in the wheel dept.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

Look at what I saw today (crappy cell phone pic). Just an F250 gasser, but really close.

Your rc does look better than that 1:1!! It should be pretty sweet when it is done, I also really love the Michigan License plate!

Life imitating art. Stock tires are killing me though. I think he's only plowing after the snow melted!

Thanks friends.
Yeah the 1:1 was put through it's paces I think. Plow was quite tired too.

I'll get some lighting wired soon. Got most of the body finished as posted below. On the warning lights - these will be powered by a little circuit I managed to talk my local grocery store manager out of. It was part of a holiday cookie display that had flashing LED snowflakes. I snapped that up as fast as I could - for nothing Lesson: keep your eyes wide open for scale opportunities

OK - some progress pics.... lookin' like something now. Sorry guys, I'm liking these wheels more and more.

Got all those fun details put on, wipers, mirrors with those cool marker lights, roof marker lights, badges, tool box, 5th wheel hitch, tail pipe.

Yep - She's a Stroker. Nice big diesel tail pipe, and I decided to go with some period correct badges. Actually had to find a 1:1 F350 and take good pics of the emblems to print, all in the name of scale, I didn't like the Tamiya stickers. Although I did manage to pull of some artistic license on these.
Let me know what you think

I have to admit...the wheels are growing on me. The truck looks really sharp. I'm glad you didn't listen to me about the paint...your plan turned out really well. I can't wait till you get that plow on there!

I didn't opt for a drop bed for two reasons. The CC chassis wouldn't allow for it unless I did some serious hacking and rebuilding, and the stock depth catered to where the 5th wheel hitch needed to be anyway. I just painted it flat black and it basically disappears. It also leaves room to mount my AA lighting battery boxes which I always mount to my bodies anyway.

I'll get the plow mounted again for more pics soon. Snowed again last night!
