Thumbs up Aluminum angle, bar and flat stock sizes

Hello guys,

Pop A Top here looking for some info to build myself a custom trailer frame.

What material should I be getting to do the project i.e. frame rails and cross members for the flooring the flat stock thicknesses I have a brake for bending the stuff but not sure what to get or how much would be needed to do a 53' drop deck and a 53' RGN lowboy.

I appreciate your advise,

Thank you,

Im no expert, but you can get 3/8" to 1/2" square steel tubing and then heat tp bend/shape it to the rail shape you want, and then cut it in half with something like a band/scroll saw. It doesn't need to be very thick at all, maybe 16 gauge (0.06").

Aluminum is probably harder to shape like this.
