Default Supra's hiatus from RC

Supra needs some motivation to regress into playing with toys again.

Supra took about a year away from the RC's, mostly to dedicate time to the bike, truck, and the kid. Summer is coming, and the warm weather motivates Supra to build.

To do list:
1a) Finish Fiberlass SnugTop build thread. This may even lead up to working with RC4wd to make a line of SnugTops.
http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=23408

2a) Finish an XC truck
http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18752

Need help:
1b) Supra really liked the RC4wd scale High Lift chassis that is no longer on the RC4wd site. Any one know if it will fit the Hilux body? Where can Supra get the chassis?

2b) The XC truck mentioned above; Supra is thinking the XTrail chassis with Proline's blazer body and cage with an aluminum wing. Supra wants a Blazin Blazer look-alike. Any thoughts?

Supra's reason for hiatus:

Thor thinks Supra has some good reasons to go on hiatus judging by the last two pictures.
PS, he also mentioned he'd like to see whats wrapped around that engine.....

Dready thinks that Supra should go with the Blazing Blazer idea but instead of using the XC make it out of the Golf Buggy behind the Zuki!!

1b) yes, the hilux body was a direct fit. The chassis is no longer available. There is always the next one... ;-)

Supra hopes someone has a dusty old box on the shelf somewhere with a Katan chassis in it. Anyone? What's down the pipe, Katan. Is it purdier than the last?

The engine is in a 1970 Chevy Longhorn 1-ton (8 1/2 foot bed). The story behind the truck; Supra dad's buddy passed away of cancer, and left the widow this work-in-progress. Supra bought the truck and hopes to make it into a decent not-so-redneck work truck. It's a 468ci BBC, mild race cam, roller everything, alum heads, TH400, locker rear.

As it sits:

Photoshop of the finished truck.

I do know where there are two of them just sitting on a desk but I wont be there again for at least a couple of months. If they are still there when I go next time I will let you know.

We always make things that are purdier than the last.

Someone stop ol' Sup! Supra can't leave the bike alone!

Perhaps the winter months will be motivational to finish RC projects in limbo.
