No idea.... it wont even turn on now... theres no burn marks inside it, nothing melted etc. It just wont work in any way shape or form.... am using a 5000mah 4s 30c battery exactly as castle told me....... there was barely any heat on the esc and motor..... was warm and that's it..... I get a faint red light on the esc no movement and then few hours later nothing comes on......

Look at the link at the top for a replacement, what do ya think?... should be a like for like replacement????? Advice, help.....

Trading in My Mamba for mamba 2.... its going to be a long time before the logistics of this means I end up with a new ESC from castle..... so still no video!!!! I need to make up some better rear control arms as the ones I made are a little 'bendy' and despite adding extra springs to my shocks and making them as stiff as could be, I still need stronger springs to stop all the body roll..

by the time I get to use this thing the wood will have rotted away lol

Must of took a while to read all that yeah I would really like to get this thing going, 3 weeks wait for the ESC according to castle now.... however its April now and only 2 degrees C so haven't missed much

I am going to 'try' make some better rear control arms as the ones I made up are not holding up... on its last run they bent under the impact and was almost dragging its back side across the dirt...

This thing is still ever changing, I have never been happy with the 'homemade' Rear control arms, they bend and contort to easy so needed something credited that would do the job, Problem is that the rear control arms are a total one off width and there is no whole rear axle in that size I could simply swap it out for.....

Or is there

I had a look round some of my old projects and seen my old LR3 Frankenstein build I made out of 'Bits'

It was really good off road, It was stupidly powerful and I always said I would make it better looking etc but never did!!! sooooo

I ripped the rear axle out and have a closer look.

side by side shot

Messing about shot

http://s110.photobucket.com/user/sil...bd887.jpg.html

And then a shot of the axles with correct wheels on

And by golly its exactly the right width as my 'custom narrow front axle'

The input shaft in the diff is completely alien to me and need to make a custom drive shaft but the dam thing is spot on

I got the Diff casing in already and now lining it all up etc, its a much better axle and stronger to and is fit for the job... Its been 2 weeks and still haven't received my Mamba monster 2 ESC yet so its still shelved!!! gggrraaahhhhhh

All good things.....

Well I have fit that axle to the scort now and need to make up a one off driveshaft,. I may use the remaining front axle and parts from the removed hyper 7 axle and make a sort of CC01 suspension type set up and fit them huge wheels, and then make a body for it...... it will in fact been huuuuuge lol

Well thank god, My mamba monster 2 arrived today. it took a month to deliver.

I can now rebuild the new rear axle, get it all back together and use it for once!! man this has been the longest build ever
I have landed a new job, a really good position too!, so I am committing all my energy into that right now and leaves little time for many toys. But I will get this thing up and running and I will make a damn video!!!!
