Default Max's Whirly-bird

Hobbyking 450GT - $50

New Futaba 7C - $82

Not flying this thing into my face - priceless

That's right, I'm taking to the air again, my little Blade CX does good but its small and the outside scares it. Saw this thing on HobbyKing and told myself "what the hell, it's only $50." Received it today, no manual and in a plain box. Found a Align Trex 450 manual and used it, since this is a chinese knockoff of that model. Overall it seems to be decent quality.

I still have to buy a ESC, gyro, servos and batteries.

Fifty bucks is one crash in a T-Rex. Cool find.

Yeah those HK-450s are nice from what I've seen on forums, as far as clones go. I *almost* bought one just to keep on the shelf for later when they where one sale for $19! The only reason I didn't if I've got an EXI that's basically identical and enough spares to keep it flying, that I don't fly enough already... I can't speak for the HK, but the EXI is more durable than I thought. Crashes are always spectacular! haha

Is a pretty sweet little helicopter, but right know I'm forced to sit in the basement and make helicopter noises. Friday I will be ordering some servos, any suggestions on those? I was going to pick up a few Futaba S3114 micro servos just because they recommend them for heli use on Tower, but after reading a bit people tends to say no to them.

Instead maybe the Hitec HS-82MG?

Link the the model I bought for any of you wondering.
