I take it that Tomi Makkinen's Evo VI is an acceptable model for this build then? It'll be based on my homebrew TT01RA chassis, which can give the DF03RA a run for its money both on and off-road.

so other than me, who else is actually doing this???

@XV Pilot, i would imagine that as long as it races on dirt /offroad that it will be an eligible entry.

Looks like I'm out I'm afraid. I'd need to get my chassis shipped to me from the other side of the world (where I had to leave it when returning to the UK due to baggage weight allowances). To get it shipped over quickly enough would cost more than buying a new one, and to get it shipped over cheaply enough would take 6 to 8 weeks at least. Humph.

Ah well, maybe next time. I'm keen to see what everyone else builds though!

at this point in time i think im gonna be out of contention(spelling?) for the winner, as my little ford has reclaimed my attention as of late. so im not officially pulling out, but im doubting im going to get the subie finished anywhere near the end of the month. i had a massive plan in my head and was well achievable, but im just not into it at the moment.

im looking forward to building myself a scale replica of my jeep first. so ill see how i go, but at this stage, im out.

thanks guys.

I'm building a rally inspired vehicle so I'll join the build off. I mean, if you'll let me. No thread yet, but it's an FJ80 with some rally bits.

rally is sweet and some started builds look cool but this is a build off that needed way more thought to it to be a success

most rally items needed to be ordered out of country witch is normally 2 weeks give or take

rally is on and off road not just off road...

great idea with the classes though...time line and class rules a little off though...you should redue and restruct rules times guidlines ect and really get something goin
