Maybe tyre size we should keep it only up to a Class 1 tyre and a 35turn or less motor? Chassis wise we should keep it simple like dready said.

Like the idea of this ,but think motor size is up to u, as too much power at the wrong point can make it worse. When we doing this then .

Ill measure up my Holiday Buggy 4x4 tonight. Could do it the June playday or the next one after.

You could use basically any make touring car for this on class 1 tyres, only 1 diff locked

This is what I based mine off, and it cost about this much to do as well.

Too late, XV-01 is on the way. Guess I'll just have to put a winch on it

They made the XV01 chassis into a truck as well http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio...asterion-58552

so with a bit of tweaking of that kit i'm sure you would be fine =)

4.19'' Max Tyre Size.

Any limits to the number of motors that can be run?, I have a wild dagger chassis (twin motor) that I have narrowed and was thinking of putting a land rover body on it seems to line up rather nicely with it. It would have full independent suspension. Can't see any advantages it would bring over a normal 4WD chassis.

I would say yes, as the idea of this is more about looks and fun. Only 1 locked diff though.

You should also be able to run 2wd in this class, any of you thinking Sand Scorcher?

Andy been thing the beetle but also been thinking XR311!! Now finding a body for that would be hard but buying a re realise kit would be easier. Question is how much harder is it going to be to run 2wd? Cause we haven't discussed courses properly yet. That would be my decision to what to go for.
