Awsome forum you guys have here. I've been drooling over some of your build threads. I'm hoping to make the jump from SC racing into scale 4x4s, just waiting for the finances to be right.

Nice newby thread also.

Thanks

We should summarize all this info into one post. Basic explanations of the batteries, chargers, kits, RTR, etc. There is A LOT of good information here. It's a lot to read through as a new member to go through 7+ pages and then remembering that you saw something in this thread, and have no clue what page it was on.

I'm new to this hobby. I've been building 1/24 scale plastic kits for years but new er an RC. Where would I buy a scale replica kit? Like say a 70's or 80's truck or even a VW.

Look at the date on the last post made in the thread you are reading.
If it was made more than a month ago you should probably leave it.
Only the OP (original poster) should post in his or her own old thread, to update it, for example.
You may be reading it for the first time, but it's annoying for the old hands to see an old thread woken up with a "Cool Truck" comment.

Hey every1 been looking around the site & from the looks of it I think I'm in the right place. I guess I'm a "noob". Lol funny. Recently just bought a rig & Tundra High lift. So thx for the info that I've already read & looking forward to have fun with chatting it up with you guys & crawling. ✌

New to the forum but have been in RC since the 80's. Been in crawling for about a year now and love it. Suits me better cause it goes slow for this old man.

I could not agree more. Can the moderator clear out the friendly banter and the repeated general rules on posting so we can find the important info on scaler RC trucks? I came here to learn about the hobby and this thread is a bit painful to scan through.

Having said that, thanks to those that did provide useful information. I am completely new to RC and need to start from the basics. I like the idea of the scalers and am searching around to learn more before I buy my first one.

Cheers,
Dave
