Default Tamiya Hilux Snorkel by LowSlowTJ

This AWESOME new snorkel is from LowslowTJ. Verne asked me if I would be willing to be a tester for the new snorkel of his. After owning some of his other products, such as his flares, I knew this would be a killer product. When I arrived home Friday night from work an envelope was chillin on the counter with my name on it. So this morning, I cracked it open.

Soon as I pulled it out of the bag, I knew this thing was going to look kickass on the Atomic Toy, it was already molded in black and pretty much ready to be installed. Had NO air bubbles or anything and the fit was perfect. I hit it with some flat black paint as it was a little bit more glossy then I wanted, and then shoe-goo'd it to the truck cab.

Its a great new scale item for your Hilux, as far as I know they will be sold through Corey at RppHobby.com

Only recommendation I have is, is when gluing use a minimal amount of glue.

Thanks for looking
-Mike

That is indeed one great product.
The one Nick had installed looked amazing and sure did take a decent beating while practicing for the OSAS.

Think one will be made to fit NewBright JK bodies ?

If I had a New bright body I could make one, but it would have to get in line! I am working on flares and a snorkel for the Tamiya YJ, and then maybe the pajero.

I see, well when your ready to do them id be willing to lend a hand and let you barrow my JK as long as it wouldnt take too awful long.
Unless you have an easier means of getting your hands on one...

I am going to go out on a limb and guess that one designed to fit the tamiya YJ will be close enough to adapt to the NB body.. size wise there both close shape wise of the fenders there the same..

Thanks

Well...It's been a month and I never did hear of anywhere that I could get these....and RPP is still showing out of stock on them.

I did find some super nice ones on EBAY and they have some awesome detail and fit and finish. They're not cheap...but they are the best I've seen. RCMODELEX.CZ is the name of the guys business.

Here's what it looks like on my YOTA. (Not trying to step on anyone's toes here...but I've been lookin for awhile now and I've not been able to find any I liked...or any in stock anywhere.

( Feel free to edit or delete my post if this is somehow inappropriate)

Thanks
ARon
