Default tamiya fj40 body???

Hi there guys,
I'm just new to this forum and wanted to know if the tamiya fj40 body will fit the scx10 chassis?
any help will be great.

Nope. Does not fit without modifications. I'm in the process of getting one to fit right now on my SCX10. I've shortened the rear lower links about an inch and the fronts about half and inch. Also you must shorten the upper links a bit. When you're done with that you still have part of the frame sticking out of the front and the back but its fine because so does the real FJ. I plan on attaching a front and rear bumper to mine as well. And BTW this is the most you can shorten the wheelbase without major modification. Any shorter and the shocks will start looking funny leaning at an angle.

cheers heaps mate
I love the scx chassis and really wanted to add the tamiya body as ive got one here on my bench and ive just ordered the proline bumpers,roof rack spot lights and the jack and esky packs form the states.

so at the moment im really stuck as im keen on both but sounds like its the one or the other
