The reason we harp on it is, in any forum, we use words to communicate ideas. Spelling like that impedes the exchange of ideas, because nobody can figure out what you're trying to say. It takes a lot of effort to de-code the "words" you're using and makes you look incredibly stupid. This may or may not be the case, but you're not doing yourself any favors by typing this way.

Just about every web browser has a spell check feature. Use it, we'll be glad you did. And you'll get better information when we don't have to break out the Lucky Charms decoder ring to interpret your posts.

When you are typing your post and you get a red line under the word,put your mouse pointer on the word underlined in red.
Then click the right mouse button,its called spell check.
Then click on the word you want,it will be replaced with the correct spelling.
Try it it's easy and works well.

I grew up going through school with A's in math and science, and always struggled to pass my English classes - failed a quarter or two, but always just made it at the end of the year by the skin of my teeth. I can't spell to save my life, even worse when it comes to writing, unless it's a technical paper. My life savers were an electronic hand-held dictionary I used for 10 years, and then came dedicated word processors and shortly there after PCs.

Earlier email programs didn't have spell checkers, ohh it took me soo long to write an email - hated email.

Thank heaven for the spell checker that the browsers incorporated a few years ago.. another life saver for me on the forums.


It's either jkjeepfan genuinely has a learning / language disability, or he's lazy.

As far as Lazy.....
Seems this is what "texting" and "IM'ing" is doing to the generations growing up with these technologies as a main form of communication.

I grew up with 2 cans and a string or some cheap walkie talkies.

Now a days they just shoot out their short burst texts and IMs with all sorts of abbreviation and acronyms, and no concern for spelling, and they just basically understand each other.
Reminds me of ebonics in the 90's.

So jkjeepfan, if you want people to take the time to help you, and be respectful to you, then have some respect for those your asking help from and work on your posting, use your spell checker.

Think about it, why should anyone put the time in to decode your writing, and help you, if you won't put the time in to put together a decent, "understandable" post.

Both the latest FireFox and Internet Explorer have built in spell checkers. and Firefox works on the fly. The miss-spelled words have a red underline. With a simple left mouse click, you have a choice of correctly spelled words.
