Here's what I'm starting with, a yokomo euro race truck body that I've had laying around for years, an Associated TC4 touring chassis, and a pile of stuff. Considering tilt cab, chicken lights, mirrors and dualies.

Sounds killer! What are chicken lights?

I may have this wrong, but I believe chicken lights refers to all the extra lights you see on a semi truck. such as on the running boards and bumper.

Also had to do some work to the chassis. Ran the car a few weeks back on stupid power doing stupid stuff and the car suffered. Cracked and disheveled the rear portion of the chassis plate, but fortunately it sorta snapped back into alignment. I also rebuild the diffs and installed the lightened steel outdrives which require some dremeling to get the "D" rings to fit (I took a photo of this, but it is all blurry). The steel outdrives require the use of a T-nut which isn't used in the plastic outdrives, so I stole those from another rebuild kit.
After it was back together, I put a much more reasonable power plant in which should be plenty for drifting. The setup includes a NORCA 91 pink stock motor, Novak GT7 ESC and a spectrum receiver. |

As for tires, black pvc pipe is much harder to find than I thought. Apparently it is not available where I live, even the plumbers don't have it. But I did find an old set of drift tires in the 'please buy me' bin at the hobby shop. These are rather hard rubber tires with a plastic ring around them.

The link to the video is:
It is quicktime (MOV) cause that's what my camera does. You would think that after eight years I would've figured out the whole light exposure bit with it. Last edited by JamCar : 10-05-2010 at 08:53 PM. Reason: Changed video link |
