Default Drift Build Off- Hawgfanman's 70 Camaro SS

Well, I figured that I might as well give this a shot. My old RS4 sport was my carpet racer probably 10 years ago so this will make it useful again. The body is a Pegasus Hobbies 70 Camaro SS and I'll be using HPI's vintage 5 spoke wheels with their drift rubber. For electronics, I'll be using a Traxxas 2.4ghz receiver along with the Axial speed control that I took out of my Honcho with an old 17 turn speed gems motor.

Ahhhh, very nice! Those vintage HPI wheels look just like the old Cragar SS wheels and are perfect for a muscle car. What have you got in mind for paint? Racing stripes or Flames? Welcome to the build off!

Thanks guys. I'm not sure when they came out with the body. I just saw it on A-Main's website and knew I had to have it. It's a split bumper which is my all time favorite Camaro. I'm not 100% sure on the color yet but I'm leaning towards hugger orange with white rally stripes. I'm going to try some styrene work for the first time ever with this body so wish me luck!

Talon, there's a reason that it's so cheap. It seems pretty thin compared to most other bodies. I'm not too worried about it though since this will mainly be a shelf queen.

thats always been true of thier stuff though. i have a few of the old 64 impalas they did, and the door sills tear just from the wind passing over them at 15mph.

but it sure will look great for awhile!!

I hope to get some work done on it this weekend. I've got it running but haven't touched the body yet.
