I'd love to participate in this. I'm working on my first scale rig right now but it's not scratch built, except for the body. I think i'm going to try a SWAT armored vehicle, as long as my cash flow permits me to. And it will be aluminum bodied as well.

The focus of the build will be a service based ride.
Here are some of the requirements for the build.

1. Body must have an interior. No blacked out windows.
2. On the body, the service area must be obvious and accessilbe. It doesn't have to be scratch built, but change something. Cut it up and glue it back together.
3. It needs a driver. Someone to provide the service.
4. It can be 1.5, 1.9 or 2.2. Make it look good.
5. Modify the body and chassis to your hearts content. The more the better.
6. Use the title "First time Noob build" followed by the theme
7. Take lots of pics so you can document your work.
8. This is a learning process, except the criticium.
9. And Wise ones, don't hate on us. Offer advise and tips.

I want to learn from the masters. There are some sick builds in this forum.

IDK what will be the prize but maybe just a giant oversized trophy and the title "King of the Noobs." That might be it.

If you have already started a build, no problem.
Just post the build thread in this thread.

Definition of a noobie.

You Know if you are Noob. If you have to ask, you probably aren't. Just look and your post count. High=not a noob. This is to just to give a outlet for the development of your skills and ideas. It's a learning tool. Have fun and let the games began.Hell yeah.

Since you are the one in charge, go ahead and make up your own rules.... this is how we all know you are a noob...
(if you sense my sarcasm, it because I am trying to lay it on pretty thick.)

1. Any body you want... lexan or hard plastic.
2. It can be 1.5, 1.9 or 2.2. Make it look good.
3. Modify the body and chassis to your hearts content. The more the better.
4. Use the title "First time Noob build" followed by the theme

6. To qualify as a newb, this should be your first documented build here and you should either be a newly minted 300+ club member (the amount of posts required to enter the B/S/T forum here), or less.

That, to me, is a much better, inclusive set of rules for a newb build off. Simple, to the point, and easy to work up.

I need a napkin for all that sarcasm on my face.

I'm not in charge by any means, but I am a newb in the forum. I know there are rules for builds..... I wasn't trying to make it difficult, but my bad, to many rules can be overwhelming.

I'll vote for with these rules.

IDRC, Here. We're cool. Thanks

Post up your builds, me included.

No sweat. Bad day+ too much homework+ a couple beers+ rules that don't fit my build = unfriendly comments.

Cheers!
