Finally an update-not a good one from a step by step point of view but it is progress. Sandblasted the cage-got it painted. I also sandblasted the Tamiya front suspension. Got the dash all done-photo-shopped some gauges and printed them out on clear film-then painted them white from behind. Got the shifter, brake handles and seat in. Might add another seat-we'll see how the electronics pan out. Boxed in the trailing arms and got the servo and suspension back on. I was able to run the servo cable under the tunnel as well. More photos to come and much more to do.

Hey thanks. It was not a very good update. I did not have the camera handy for most of the last round and had gotten a bunch of stuff done. The bezels are from a large craft store in the jewelry making department. Not sure if they have them in your area. Just walk up and down the jewelry aisle where they sell loops, chains and bindings. There a ton of good stuff. We have a chain here called Joann Fabrics-they are local to New England. Michael's is another big chain. I got hooked on those places because my wife dragged me in there one day-and now she waits in the car when I go!

Thank you kindly!!!
Here are some other shots. The servo is a tight fit-it just clears the cross bars up front! The top and bottom pic show how I was able to snake the servo cord through the chassis tunnel-all the other electronics will go in the back, just forward of the gearbox. |

Things are looking really great!
I've got a Joanne, 2 Michaels and a Hobby Lobby w/in 10 minutes of me...one positive thing about living in a highly populated area! (along w/ a bunch of negatives ). My fiance loves those places b/c she gets a pretty good teacher discount, and they have tons of stuff for teachers. Its win-win! |

I would have never even thought of setting foot in one of those stores until I started this hobby! Now its actually interesting to cruise around the aisles and see what's there. |
