air bags , cheap and easy

i wanted to share my fake air bags with ya guys

its according to what the app is , you can go with different springs, different size piping and so on

heres a picture of material i used. i dont think i spent 15.00usd

and about 1 hour of time. i used a saw, a drill and sand paper


here i cut the main rod and internal rod, there both the same length
the small pieces are a topper. then i drilled a small hole through them


next i cut the shrink tube 4 mm bigger then the main rod
also cut some small threaded rod to hold everthing together
ive also sanded everything smotth and lubed the internal rod

thats it, work great

Looks good Joe, I use caliper dust boot covers, spring inside and aluminum button covers from Hobby Lobby for mine.

you could also use the rubber drums from a dremel instead of the solid piece

on the heavy hauling trailer project. everythign will have the newer suspension

the truck suspension you can go a couple of different ways. ive look at a couple hundred pictures. many different sets ups. some are hard to make. but alot of them are very simple to make for adverage builder

when done, im not going to offer them for sell. but i will show here how to make them. i bought everything from either lowes or home depot

i have a f350 project coming up. im going to give that front and rear airride suspension. cant wait for the that project
