Default Where to buy hard bodies?

Besides ebay, are there any stores that stock a few types of 1/10 hard bodies? Im having a hard time finding them online. I just bought a cc-01 LC40 and didnt realize it came with the lexan body...

That is the million dollar question.

Look at toy stores, ebay and discount import markets, etc for toys that you can pimp the body from. There is no real stable supply of these so when you see what you like you have to spring on it.

Other than that, the option for rc hobby grade hard bodies are very limited. Try RPP for the tamiya ones, Rick's (vendor here) does a 4Runner and Kamtec do a few suitable ones.

Thank you so much, that RCC site is great. Ive seen some toy brand bodies that are actually kinda cool so I may check those out.

Is this the LR3 land rover body I see on these forums sometimes?

One other question. Will the clod buster body fit the extended wheelbase CC-01 chassis?

Not in stock form, but if you install a bit longer links and prop shaft it does, with home made body mounts..

Hm.... target... possible fit?

Wow new bright has some nice looking bodies, and their vehicles are cheap so I could just buy the whole rc car and get the body for the same price as many bodies alone sell for.

That one fits, you still may have to mod the chassis a little.

It would help to know what type you are looking for?

In the top post I said I have a CC-01, so anything for that really. Im not picky! I like longer wheelbase looks more than short, but either is fine.

look for 10.5" or 9.5" wheel base to make your life easier. those are the two standard cc01 chassis settings. loads of the toy bodies are 10.5". toysRus, walmart, cosco, target, etc will all carry them.

Also, what you dont see in that link above is the actual clod on the cc01:
Here's one

Its not an exact fit. check the rear wheel-its not perfectly in the wheel arch but you can make it work as is and most wont notice. other thing to keep in mind is that the tire size is a limitation. the stock pajero/wrangler tires are smaller than any other 1.9 you could buy. they do look good size-wise on there IMO though. This rig has tires I made so they're Mud Thrasher treads on pajero sidewalls and are same height as the pajero tires.

Holy **** Pablo! I've been contemplating a chassis for my Clod and had a CC01 lying around and never expected it would work! You're a genius!

Thanks so much man! I owe you one. Come to Montreal and I'll get you an evening's worth of beers!
