Haha yeah cannonball run to keep with the TV theme. I knew I'd seen that black and red scheme, love it but probably right about the time frame. Still look cool though.

Rover, Your bottom all red with gold was about what i was thinking if i changed.
I do really like the fire service solid Red, or White over Red on cutaway modulars with white or gold lettering, but realistically i'm probably just keeping with the omaha orange plan. (Wait, does that mean i can get federal funding for it?)

The Red/Black as a fire livery really took off with the movie Backdraft, and doesn't really do it for me. It's sharp, just doesn't look as good or as visible. I mostly like fire aparatus Red, Red with White cab tops, or Slime. I'll even go Slime with Black on ARFF.

Good one, I forgot about the Transcon Medi-Vac! There were even a couple vehicles inspired by it that did run some of the other coast-to-coast illegal races. Anyway, that'd be a really wicked theme on a lunchbox body!

I did learn that places like Braun or Leader emergency vehicle have some great engineering drawings of their rigs on their sites. It's 2019 models, but the basics haven't changed that much. Biggest change is lightbars vs whelen 600s, and not running center white flashers.
Beyond the exterior setup, those drawings should really help if Crazy steps in on this build and says it needs interior panels

If the hightop ambulance happens eventually, the lightbar on it looks like it could probably hold 4 rotator lights instead of 'just' the 2 in the one on this. Although its current plan is 'Chrome it out and sit static'.

Good catch, i stand corrected.
I saw that the grill looked closest to a Chevy with a weatherproof Shore-Power connector added, it didn't have many other features like tail lights, so i went with that since i don't know vans very well.

Thank you.

I randomly stumbled upon a decal set on ebay that might be of interest: https://www.ebay.com/itm/RC-TRANSCON...97.m4902.l9144
