I want one, you want one - work on a rear louvered sun shade for Retro-Racing's MKii Escort is underway !

As ever, the first step, I took some photos,

This is the same bodyshell you used ? - just double checking

This will take a while, I'll need to design, test and tweak - hopefully not too many times ! - I'll keep you posted

FYI, check out my Land Rover build in 1.9s - details of my next project "Old School Ford" in there - might be of interest

Keep up the great work on this, I'm following every step !

Iím a bit all over the place with building these days... been meaning to get this started ages ago........so gonna try to do a street style body...hopefully I can get it far enough along so I can finish it up...lol!
Got a 3s brushless system to install on the chassis and will try to get the front brake mixing done as well...lol! Hoping to be able to get some decent burnouts and maybe some wheelies on launch... will see how that goes!

Lol...yeah...itís about time the MK2 got some love!

Hoping to get some more work on it soon... also want to get the Lancia Delta painted up and running!
On the MK2, while building the louvres, I noticed that the area around the rear windscreen is not accurate...it slopes where the side of the glass meets the body, unlike the 1:1 which has a flat area before it slopes down the side of the rear pillars... Canít unsee it now that I have...and itís bugging the bejeesus out of me! Lol...! Think I have a solution though...gonna go for a vinyl roof and bring the material up to where the sides of the glass SHOULD be... ha! Looking to make use of some of that leftover sheepskin leather that I have...lol... will see how it goes!
