Default Setting up spectrum dx6i for tf2

Thought I'd use my dx6i on the tf2. Sorted steering and gear servo (using gear switch) but can't seem to get left stick to find reverse when I program the speedo.
Any ideas how I do this? Tried setting endpoints by starting with stick at middle for neutral, then full throttle and then brake/reverse but no luck

You could use the flap switch to reverse the throttle axis to reverse. It will work, as I have tried with several aircraft.

Adjust the travels to 100% then program the ESC throttle end points, and if you can't select reverse adjust travels to 125%.
I take it you are using an esc with double pump reverse? if so from experience these are a real pain with a mode 2 aircraft radio, the lack of a centre on the left stick makes reverse selection a nightmare.
