Default 1924 diesel tug project

this is a 1924 diesel tug.
the beautiful lines of the hull, the way she cuts through the water....i had to build her.
all i had was a set of plans that i borrowed from ou812.everything had to be traced out and transfered to wood.
im using baltic birch for the build.no instructions.

heres the specs and info from the orginal 1924 craig design.
http://books.google.com/books?id=uhI...0Craig&f=false

my plans were taken from there, then converted into rc plans by john fryant.

thanx guys!
most boats like this come in a kit form....much like a plastic model, almost every peice is pre cut to fit really well....thats no my case, all i have is a set of plans and scrap wood.

i desided to plank the hull with spanish ceder...i have plenty of it onhand, just have to strip it.
its harder to work with, compared to balsa....but its free....keeping my build cost low.

here are a few test peices to see if the ceder will curve to shape...looking good.

now that may be an option.
let me get 1 done....then we will talk!

nothing fantastic, put on a few planks last night,im going to leave the overlapping plank look, since the original tug was wooden planked hull.

i believe its 1/24th scale,real one is 65 foot,this one will be 32.5 inches long.after the boats built,i guess a barge to pull/push around is inorder.....maybe a losi crawler in there aswell....lol.
